Blue Christmas
Normally, its fun and games here at the Hair Hall of Fame, but this Christmas season brings with it a sad note.
This time last year, one of our own, "Kabuki Zero"(in the picture above), whose real name was William, but was called Billy by his friends, was readying for necessary heart surgery. And he was very fatalistic about the outcome.
Following the surgery, Kabuki demanded to be released from the hospital feeling as if he had to get home to his beloved pets, despite the protestations of the doctors and cardiac care, he signed the wavers and left the hospital to return to his home.
He died in the middle of night. His body was found the next morning by a friend.
Sometimes, the people we know and love do things that may not make rational sense, and there is no sense to what happened other than he needed to have his way, for a reason really unknown to anyone but himself.
All of us miss you something awful, Billy.
Love the people who mean everything to you, because sometimes, it can be too late to show it, or tell them.
When Cookie's time comes - and I am not planning on going anywhere anytime, soon, one of the first people that I'll look up upon reaching the afterlife will be Billy. He'll be sitting there, legs crossed, and fit to be tied "You have kept me waiting."
Perhaps, but I'll make it one day. MYM.

Sadly, one of our beautician’s chairs sits vacant...

But we’re still open for business here at The Hair Hall of Fame and we wish you a Happy New Year.

Kabuki Zero has left the Hair Hall of Fame.
Truth be told, Kabuki Zero, has left us all.
It is with heavy heart, and tears welling in my eyes that I must report that one of our own, Kabuki Zero, aka Billy L., has died following post surgery recovery.
In the pantheon of that is made up of our friends, there are many we love, but their was only one Kabuki. Kabuki joined the HHoF, and made a couple contributions, lots of comments, and several proclamations.
He was brilliant, he was often times moody, he was creative, he was joyous, he was funny, he could often times be biting (with his words and sometimes with his teeth), he was petulant, and he could transform himself into just about anything he wanted.
But the man I choose to remember was the man he revealed when his beloved, age, dog was dying and how he stayed with his beloved little one and expressed it in his own words.
I will miss him with all my being.
2016 really has taken too many good people.
My only comfort is that Zsa Zsa got to Heaven before him, so now he is telling to moved her ass over and make room for Kabuki.
In his honor, the blog "flag" image is Kabuki for the time being.

Everyday's A Holiday!
If you are feeling the post holiday blues, let this vision of loveliness perk you up!
That's right, it's the ever-fashionable kabuki zero, getting up, at my apartment on 18th and Belmont, NW, Adams Morgan, Washington D.C.
The time and occasion was Halloween, 1985. And you'll kindly notice the exquisite, perm machine/mail holder/picture holder in the foreground.
Rest assured a good time was had by many....

kabuki At Home!
It may surprise you to know that at heart, world traveling kabuki is really a home girl!
It is there that kabuki's native talent for the domestic sciences really can blossom. Note for instance how the clever kabuki, after bleaching the pet poodle with a solution of straight Clorox, has made a fun and decorative wall hanging out of the empty bottle!

Our newest staff member stands on ceremony
The Hair Hall of Fame staff would like to welcome our newest stylist.
The mysterious Kabuki Zero has consented to join the the HHoF. We are, of course over-joyed.
Please welcome him with open kimono. If you tip well, and if you are nice, he just may give you an Oshiguma for your collection at no extra charge.
We will linkify him following his first post, and is tradition on the HHoF.
