Best known for her role as Kris Munroe in the TV series Charlie's Angels, she was hired amid a swirl of publicity. Prior to its second season in 1977, she replaced the departing (and very popular) Farrah Fawcett-Majors who played Jill Munroe, the sister of Ladd's character.
Ladd also appeared in Wella Balsam conditioner advertisements and TV commercials...

I only wash my hair once a week and I give it a treatment each week with olive oil.
On Sunday nights I massage it in, like my mother taught me, tuck my hair under a shower cap, tie a scarf over it and leave it as long as I can. Overnight is ideal, but it can stain pillow cases, so I tend to let it soak in while watching a film, before washing it out using Philip Kingsley’s shampoos and conditioners.

Before Shakira shimmied, there was Charo.
Charo celebrates her birthday on March 13th. The year of her birth is unknown but she attested in a court hearing that it’s 1951. Some say her birth year may be as much as nine years earlier.
She was born MarÃa del Rosario Mercedes Pilar MartÃnez Molina Baeza (say it fast) in Spain.
In 1966, she married the MUCH older “Rhumba King,” Xavier Cugat who brought her to the United States.
Internationally, Charo is considered to be one of the world’s greatest flamenco guitarists, having studied with virtuoso Andrés Segovia.
But Americans know her best as the voluptuous, hip-shaking, big-blonde-wig-wearing “cuchi-cuchi girl.” That’s fine with Charo who says, “That’s okay because cuchi-cuchi has taken me all the way to the bank.”
Proving she’s not just a pretty face, here’s Charo performing Malagueña in 1977…

In Rod: The Autobiography, Rod devotes a complete chapter to his crowning glory.
"I started having my bouffant hairstyle, as I used to call it, way back in the late '60s. ... I just [thought] people would be interested. I'd never heard of hair lacquer around my way, where I lived in those days, and even a hairdryer was considered absolute luxury. My sister had a hairdryer, and I remember I used to have to put warm water and sugar on my hair and then run up to my sister's [house], about 50 yards away, in the middle of winter, and blowdry it."
"Can we talk about the hair?" "Late Late Show" host James Corden asked of Stewart's signature hairstyle. "'Cause it's a work of art. How long does it take to get that — to get 'the full Stewart'?"
"It's 10 minutes," Stewart insisted, at which point Cordon couldn’t resist running his fingers through Stewart’s hair.
Cordon called it "a beautiful moment between two open-minded, broad-minded guys."
