Happy Birthday, Ringo!
Former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr turns 71 today.
According to an early interview with The Beatles, Ringo said he wanted to open a string of hairdressing salons once Beatlemania faded. Watch clip here.
On February 11, 1965, Ringo married Maureen Cox, a junior apprentice at Ashley Dupre Continental Hair and Beauty Salon in Liverpool.
Their meeting is described here.
Ringo is currently working on a new album.
No word yet on that chain of hair salons.
