Actress Yvette Mimieux shares a birthday with Elvis Presley who picked her from a beauty contest to compete for a bit movie. She wasn't selected.
However, she went on to appear in the teen movie Where the Boys Are (1960), The Time Machine (also 1960) and many other film and TV roles.
Mimieux turns 75 today.
She's particularly good in Light in the Piazza, in which she plays a beautiful but brain-damaged young woman.
