If only this were 1967! You could hustle your way back to my hometown of Marion Ohio, point your car towards the Southland Mall and expirience: WIGS-A-GO-GO, held in the wig fashion salon at the Sears store!
One mystery remains - MARJORIE BARNEKOW, where for art thou?
OMG I am so totally there!!!
ReplyDeleteI want to GO glamorous!
ReplyDeleteAnd what a wig it was!
ReplyDeleteMarjorie's eyes are pleading for someone to find her story, buried deep in the bowels of Sears' dusty files, and bring her glory days to light on THHoF website!
ReplyDeletemarjorie? probably a gone-gone.
ReplyDeleteBarn Cow?
ReplyDeleteEww what an ugly last name. No wonder she tried to escape it with glamorous wigs.
Its Barnekow, and I think she was from Toledo. In Toledoese "Barnekow" means something calm and so beautiful that one would weep at what was before their eyes.
ReplyDeleteI like the connection of the go-go wigs and the Early Americana recipes. Covering plenty of bases there.
ReplyDeleteI'll attend anything if you tack the words "A-Go-Go" onto it.
