Still in business today, LANLAY is a company that was founded in 1936 by the late Frank Whetzel in the state of New York.
LANLAY was originally created to promote only a single product - a natural Lanolin-based oil, manufactured and distributed in the U.S. as a hair and skin care enhancer that was able to heal and improve skin.
Unfortunately the company decided to feature Lon Chaney as "The Werewolf" to promote their beauty products, proving that they were, in fact, a "Lousy Lay". Jx
