I finally watched the Vidal Sassoon documentary (it's on Netflix streaming.) Of course, it's a hair delight, and you'll be riveted every second. It's filled with amazing footage, including incredible color footage of Mr. Teasie Weasie being interviewed about his blue mourning jacket at Ascot! Sassoon talks about training with "Raimonde" and how he was first turned away by the snooty receptionist for his Cockney accent, going to the Old Vic for elocution lessons to learn "proper" English. The whole film is a delight.
I want THOSE glasses.
ReplyDeleteIt's really punishment, watching a film about hairdressing, because you just WANT TO GET YOUR HAIR DONE THE ENTIRE TIME!
DeleteME TOO!
DeleteDamn, models looked just as serious and cranky then as they do now!
ReplyDelete(And probably for the same reason: they all want to pounce on the food......)
