Wondering what to do with those stray hairs that stick to your shower stall? Why not turn them into art?
That’s what Lucy Gifford did in her series, Shower Hair Masterpieces.
Lucy, from Mobile, Alabama started creating shower hair art out of boredom when her husband was out of town. Now it’s become an obsession.
Think of the money you could save on art supplies!

Valerie June
Valerie June ...
The biggest reason I decided to lock my hair is because I was spending hours at the beauty shop, and I wanted to have my life back. I spent 18 years going to the beauty shop. I do not want to go to the beauty shop again in my life.

Beauty Salon in Webb's One Stop Drug Store
[via]
Webb's City was a one-stop department store of sorts that was located in St. Petersburg, Florida and was touted as "the World's Most Unusual Drug Store".
Webb's had a gift shop, hardware store, meat market, beauty salon, travel agency, clothing departments, cafeteria, multiple coffee shops and soda fountains and of course, a drugstore.
Webb's City is credited as having implemented a new idea in the checkout aisle, the express lane, 10 items or less.

Hair Mugs
Hungarian designer Krisztina Czika created mugs made from human hair embedded in wax.
Photograph by Margherita Soldati
She used different colours of cosmetic wax – which is typically used for removing leg, underarm and bikini hair – to make the collection, which she named This Is Not A Värdera, after the ubiquitous IKEA cups.
Perhaps we here at The Hair Hall of Fame Salon could use the day's sweepings to create our own hair mugs and sell them at our Gift Shop.

Cuchi-Cuchi!
Before Shakira shimmied, there was Charo.
Charo celebrates her birthday on March 13th. The year of her birth is unknown but she attested in a court hearing that it’s 1951. Some say her birth year may be as much as nine years earlier.
She was born MarÃa del Rosario Mercedes Pilar MartÃnez Molina Baeza (say it fast) in Spain.
In 1966, she married the MUCH older “Rhumba King,” Xavier Cugat who brought her to the United States.
Internationally, Charo is considered to be one of the world’s greatest flamenco guitarists, having studied with virtuoso Andrés Segovia.
But Americans know her best as the voluptuous, hip-shaking, big-blonde-wig-wearing “cuchi-cuchi girl.” That’s fine with Charo who says, “That’s okay because cuchi-cuchi has taken me all the way to the bank.”
Proving she’s not just a pretty face, here’s Charo performing Malagueña in 1977…
