Cheryl Ladd's Birthday

Cheryl Ladd was born 66 years ago today on July 12, 1951.

Best known for her role as Kris Munroe in the TV series Charlie's Angels, she was hired amid a swirl of publicity. Prior to its second season in 1977, she replaced the departing (and very popular) Farrah Fawcett-Majors who played Jill Munroe, the sister of Ladd's character.

Ladd also appeared in Wella Balsam conditioner advertisements and TV commercials...

Come in the Back

"I had never had a permanent before. Never even considered getting one. In fact last Spring, when I got my first UniPerm, I'd asked Warren, my hairdresser, just to give me a style that'd be easy to take care of while traveling.

So when Warren said, 'Come in the back I'm going to give you a perm,' my knees started to shake.

This Halloween, are you a Contessa, an Empress...

...or a fungus?

Choose carefully.

BTW, the Contessa is available in our gift shop as the "Susan St. James", The Empress is available as the Morgan Fairchild, and the Candida is available at the "Pat Crowley".

There's No Such Thing as Job Security

Now that they've got the salon stocked with a few handy Hair Catch-It Trays, I'm worried they'll fire me.   Not so incidentally, my posts here at the Hair Hall of Fame are rather light because I'm constantly sweeping up after you people. I'm pleased that the trays wipe clean easily, but really... must I always be the one to wipe them clean?
