Born Robert Louis Ridarelli on April 26, 1942, Bobby Rydell was a teen idol of the early 1960s, approved of by mothers for his "boy next door" image.

Kim Berry: Prince’s Hairstylist

Kim Berry, or “Kim B” as she is known in the industry, was Prince’s hairstylist for 25 years, and her work has been seen all over the world in commercials, print, films, television and music videos.



“I ended up travelling the world with the artist for 25 years … he became my brother and my friend.”

"He wore more hairstyles then most women would ever try," she said. "He wore it all the way across the spectrum from pony tails all the way to wraps from cuts to finger waves so he didn't have no boundaries."

Ian Carmichael: Personal Hairdresser to Her Majesty

Today we celebrate the 90th birthday of Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of her other realms and territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith.



We salute her hairdresser, Scotsman Ian Carmichael who tends the Queen’s hair twice a week.

Carmichael was issued a Royal Warrant to emphasize how valuable he is to the royal coiffure.



‘Of all my clients, the Queen is by far my favourite, she has wonderful hair.’

However, he remains discreet about the monarch, refusing to gossip.

‘I have done her hair for a very long time and I remain loyal to her,’ he said.
