Waitress Wigs
[via]
"Because I always had to be at work by five a.m., I used to wash five wigs at the start of each week. That way I had clean hair every day." Molly Dyer, waitress (retired)

Facts, Not "Alternate Facts" About Dandruff
[via]
From the 1930s to the 1950s, Listerine® mouthwash was marketed as a cure for dandruff.
Listerine® contains menthol, thymol, eucalyptol and methyl salicylate. These ingredients have antiseptic and anti-fungal properties, both of which are good for keeping the scalp in great condition. Methyl salicylate also has an anti-inflammatory, cooling action wherever it's applied - perfect for soothing an itchy scalp.

Just breath and think of Robert Conrad
Stressed with all the POTUS-e BS?
Then join me in thinking about something nicer, someone the complete opposite of the fat assed Cheeto taking the oath of office tomorrow.
Think about Robert Conrad, instead. And his chest hair.
Think about his smile. His youth. His body. His chest.
Think about his skin, delicious to touch. To run your hands over. Think about his chest hair, after all this is a blog about hair, think about his chest hair.
Think about his pecs, his butt and his dimples, all of those dimples.
Now imagine him in his youth, at your beck and call and only for you.
Think about him, tied up, like on his TV show, Wild Wild West.
Just think about that.
There now, better?

Your Hairbrush is Listening
The Internet of Things (IoT) has reached the hair care industry.
The “world’s first smart hairbrush” goes on sale in mid-2017, retailing for under $200.
The Wi-Fi enabled, app-connected Kérastase Hair Coach contains a microphone that listens as you brush your hair, “providing insights into manageability, frizziness, dryness, split-ends and breakage”.
However, it can’t style your hair so you’ll still need to come on down to The Hair Hall of Fame Salon and book an appointment with one of our smart beauticians.

Happy Birthday, Rod Stewart
Rod Stewart (born 10 January 1945) turns 72 today.
In Rod: The Autobiography, Rod devotes a complete chapter to his crowning glory.
"I started having my bouffant hairstyle, as I used to call it, way back in the late '60s. ... I just [thought] people would be interested. I'd never heard of hair lacquer around my way, where I lived in those days, and even a hairdryer was considered absolute luxury. My sister had a hairdryer, and I remember I used to have to put warm water and sugar on my hair and then run up to my sister's [house], about 50 yards away, in the middle of winter, and blowdry it."
"Can we talk about the hair?" "Late Late Show" host James Corden asked of Stewart's signature hairstyle. "'Cause it's a work of art. How long does it take to get that — to get 'the full Stewart'?"
"It's 10 minutes," Stewart insisted, at which point Cordon couldn’t resist running his fingers through Stewart’s hair.
Cordon called it "a beautiful moment between two open-minded, broad-minded guys."
Partying in 1975. Rod Stewart with David Bowie. Bowie died on Rod’s birthday, a year ago today.

While You Were Out, I Was Out
I know I haven't had a post in the last three years, I've been on my break.
This guy fell through the front door and said he was your "date" from the other night and that you promised to finish his do. I told him to wait in your station. There's been some break-y noises form back there and Norma's 3:00 is on the phone with the cops right now.
So I'm going to be off the rest of the afternoon on my break. I'll be back, you know, sometime.
