Please pick him up.  Mr. Felix needs the drier for his Senior Citizen client.  Thank you.

  1. And next time, leave that one at home and bring your little sissy child instead. Mr. Felix needs assistance folding highlight foils.

  2. That's actually my little girl, Betty Jo. Such a Tomboy! "Call me, Joey!" she says.

Next time I'll drop her off with Marge and Bev over at Hansen's Sporting Goods. She always warms right up to those two spinsters. I always thought they were cousins or sisters, living together and all. But last time we spoke, I found out they're just very good friends going back to their days playing softball at Mount Holyoke...or was it Smith? Anyway they decided to live together as bachelor girls to save money. I don't know how you land a man with a roommate always around, do you?. And I guess I'm right about that because look at them. They must be 40 and still no men. Not even a date. Oh, well. They seem happy enough. Anyway, my Betty Jo just lights right up around those gals.

Now if I could just my little Harvey to come out of his room. Chester has tried everything. Baseball, football, boxing, fishing. He just doesn't seem interested. Oh, and the other boys tease him so. Always up there with the door closed - drawing, and singing, and leaping about. But maybe he could push a broom down here for Mr. Felix. Make a few dollars. Anything to get him out of that room. Oh, he's not a total recluse. Little Harvey can be charming. My girlfriends all love him. Always with the compliments when they're over for canasta - noticing when they get new dresses or change their hair. Well, he might just become quite the ladies man if he's around all these women all afternoon.

Oh, well. Children! What can you do? They're never quite what you expected. Anyway, I'm about done here. Off to the A&P for me. And if I don't get my roast in the oven soon, Chester will have a fit when he gest home.

    Bye, girls.

    1. Sweetie, if you are going uptown will you be a lamb and pick up my Miltown at the pharmacy by the A & P? I can't keep my Phillip out of my high heels long enough to get to the shops. You're the absolute most!

    2. Done, Julie.

Just remember, poor old Mr. Davis at the Olde Towne Pharmacy loses count every once in a while so if you're short a pill or three, well, the poor old dear..

See you at the Junior League Thursday night.

  3. It sounds like Betty Jo and Harvey's mommy got her new prescription for reducing pills.

    1. They are working like gangbusters, Felix! I actually fit in the dress that I wore to the Kappa Delta spring dance the night that Chester proposed. The pounds are dropping away. I'm so happy I can barely sleep...and the house has never been so clean! I Ajaxed the gutters this afternoon. Gotta scoot. I just realized I forgot to bleach the chimney flue when I was scrubbing out the fireplace this morning. Toodles.

  4. Perhaps Harvey should take charm lessons. Learn the proper way to dance with a woman. That should put him in his place.
